March 24th Newsletter

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s):

The Third Quarter will be ending on Tuesday the 25th.  Report Cards will be going home the following week.  As we begin our Fourth and Final Quarter of the School Year please help support us in our efforts to keep your student(s) engaged and focused on ending the year on a positive and productive note.  Whether they are graduating or returning next year, your help at home is greatly appreciated and the foundation through which we are able to build upon.

Pre-School Open House will be taking place on March 25th.  If you know of anyone that is contemplating or ready to send their child to Pre-School, please spread the word about our Open House starting at 6:30 on the 25th.

On Friday, the 28th, our Eighth Graders will be going on their Confirmation Retreat, before participating in the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday at 11:00 in Toledo.  Please keep in them in your prayers as they begin an increase of sanctifying grace which makes them a “perfect Christian”, a special sacramental grace consisting in the strength and courage to confess boldly the name of Christ, and indelible character by reason of which the sacrament cannot be received again by the same person.

Make Up Day Notice – On Monday, April 21st, St. Johns will be In-Session, as our last Make-Up Day to receive the Four Extra Calamity Days from the State (barring the signing of the Bill by the Governor).  The City Schools will not be in session, however bus service will be provided.  By making up this day, we can avoid having to make up any days at the end of the year, as long as we do not have any further cancellations.

SCRIP NOTICE – Great Lakes Scrip Center will be closed the week of April 7th.  If you anticipate a special order or cards, the order must be received at the Ministry Center by 4:00 pm on Monday March 31st.  Special orders received after the 31st will not be placed until April 14th.

The scrip cards that we keep in stock will still be available for purchase at the Ministry Center during normal office hours.

Thank you to everybody involved.  To date, over $36,500.00 has been generated in tuition credits for next year.
