March 31st Newsletter

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s):

Our Eighth Graders will be participating in the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday at 11:00 in Toledo. Please keep in them in your prayers as they begin an increase of sanctifying grace which makes them a “perfect Christian”, a special sacramental grace consisting in the strength and courage to confess boldly the name of Christ, and indelible character by reason of which the sacrament cannot be received again by the same person.

As we all pray that Spring arrives very soon, the Band Students are selling Flowers. If you are interested please contact a Band Student or the School for more information, sale ends Monday the 31st.

Tuesday, April 1st at 7:30 a.m., Jostens will be here to hand Seniors Cap & Gown and also other Graduation Orders. Your order must be paid in full before your receive it. No checks will be accepted, please pay in cash. If you need extra announcements, they will be available for $1.25 each. Also if you want to order a Class Ring or have a ring repaired, Jostens will be able to help you with that as well.

Make Up Day Notice – On Monday, April 21st, St. Johns will be In-Session, as our last Make-Up Day to receive the Four Extra Calamity Days from the State (barring the signing of the Bill by the Governor). The City Schools will not be in session, however bus service will be provided. By making up this day, we can avoid having to make up any days at the end of the year, as long as we do not have any further cancellations.

Apollo Career Center holds FREE GED classes at the Delphos Public Library on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-4 and/or 5-8. These classes Focus on basic skills to help individuals obtain their GED and provide information to transitions into post secondary courses. Please contact Apollo for more information.

Assistant Cross Country Coach
Due to increasing number of students participating in cross country. Our high school and junior high cross country coach Steve Hellman is looking for a volunteer assistant cross country coach to help during this upcoming season this fall. If interested please contact Steve at 419-233-1870, email at or you can contact Todd Schulte at school.

German Exchange Students Looking for Host Families. Eight high school students looking for host families to sponsor them for four months (late July to early December). If you and your parents are interested, please stop in the office for more information.
