Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s):
The DSJ Band Flower Sale pick-up on Monday, May 5th, will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the K of C Hall in Delphos. Large orders may be picked up sooner. Please notify Ms. Hare to make arrangements. All flowers must be picked up on Monday, because we have no place to store them. Thank your for your continued support.
On May 7th, 11 AP Calculus Students will be taking their AP Exam. Please pray for them as they complete this difficult and challenging exam, using all that was taught to them by Mr. Bockey, in an effort to earn college credit while still in High School. And even if college credit is not achieved, the AP Course itself has prepared those students for their next educational step.
May 9th, Seniors will be out of class to help with the Mini-Relay for Life that will be taking place, with the Elementary Students.
May 10th, many of our students will be celebrating Prom (8:00 to 11:00) in the All-Saints, with Post-Porm (11:30 to 2:00) to follow at the Kangaroo Cave, with Mass at 1:30. I would like to thank you for all your help and support, with the new policies that were put in place in an effort to make this Prom a formal, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved, including you the parents.
We have agreed to collaborate with James A. Rhodes State College regarding the Post-Secondary Enrollment Option Program (PSEOP). This partnership will allow next year’s Freshman an opportunity to complete high school coursework for credit while receiving college credit through James A. Rhodes State College. These credits earned are generally transferable, as elective credit, to the college of the student’s choice.
Two forms that were handed out to the 8th Grade Students need to be completed before the process can begin. One form is required by the State Department of Education and the other is an application for James A. Rhodes State College. There is also a $25 fee for the Rhodes State College application. Both forms and the $25 fee must be returned to me by May 15th.
Our Senior Class has returned from their trip to New York. Everyone is back home safe and sound, with exciting stories of their wonderful trip.
Good luck to all the St. John Students that are competing this weekend, Baseball, Boys and Girls Track, and students participating in the various masses this weekend, continue the tradition of excellence that is St. Johns.
Go Jays and God Bless
