Freshman and Sophomore Retreats
Freshman will be conducting their yearly retreat on Tuesday the 23rd, followed by the Sophomores on the 25th, at the K of C Hall. Students will need to pack a lunch and a drink, and will be allowed to wear jeans and a Blue Jay shirt/sweatshirt.

Homecoming Guidelines
Below you will find the new Homecoming Dress and Conduct Guidelines for this school year. These guidelines are very similar to those of Prom, with a few exceptions, due to the more informal nature of Homecoming, compared to Prom. However, this event is still a school-sponsored event and should reflect the morals and values represented by our Catholic Faith. If you have any questions or concerns about the guidelines please let me know and I will be happy to help in any way I can. Forms must be returned by September 26th.

Jostens Representative for Seniors and Freshman
A representative from Jostens will be here on Monday the 22nd, to speak with the Seniors about Graduation, including everything from Caps and Gowns to Invitations. Orders will then be due by Friday, the 26th. If your son or daughter attends Vantage, the Jostens Representative will be meeting with those students on October 23rd, at Vantage, with orders due on the 30th. If your son or daughter attends Apollo, please have them contact the Student Service Office at Apollo for further details.

On the 22nd, Freshman students will also be meeting with Jostens to discuss their class rings. At that time, more information will be given that your student(s) will be able to share with you.

St. John’s RCIA
Do you know someone who is interested in becoming Catholic? Maybe a neighbor, friend, spouse, co-worker, or maybe someone you met at the grocery store. Whatever the case, we have the opportunity for them. RCIA classes will be starting this fall. This is a wonderful way of learning about the Catholic faith and discerning whether God is leading you to join the Church. To express interest or to pass along some names of interested individuals, call Fr. Ron at 419-695-4050 or email at Don’t forget to share the faith.

Yearbook Award
Congratulations to Mrs. Stiffey and the 2014 Yearbook Staff on achieving the National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award for the 2014 Edition of the Delphos St. John’s Crest. The staff at Delphos St. John’s met this criteria in the following ways: 100% of the student body in the book four times or more, 78% of the student body ordered a book, and all deadlines were met. They received a banner and a plaque for their dedication to making the yearbook a success.
