As we all look to recover from a very positive and productive Fall Festival, I wanted to share another huge thank you to all of you and your student(s), in providing your time and energy to help make this weekend such a success. It was amazing seeing the Blue Jay Family at work all weekend. God Bless you all and Go Jays.
Please refer to http://delphosstjohns.org/hs-calendar/ for the most up-to-date information about the happenings taking place in the Junior High and High School.
I would like to apologize for the Text Alert System not working correctly on Thursday to notify you of the school cancellation. This was an issue between Ohio Alerts and Verizon. At this time the issue is still being looked into and hopefully will be resolved as soon as possible.
In the meantime please refer to local Radio and TV Stations or Websites for your delay/cancellation information, as we will be posting all necessary changes to these forms of media.
Junior High/High School Events
With the Junior High now being part of the High School, there has been some confusion concerning Jean Days and events that are taking place and who they effect. I hope this helps to clear up any confusion. Now that the Junior High has “joined” the High School, we will be referring to items affecting the Junior High, as specifically Junior High and High School as High School. I know it is still a bit confusing, but I think after we continue to work a few of the minor bugs out and with the help of parents like yourself spreading the word, it will continue to become clear as the year progresses.
National Honor Society Induction
On October 30th at 2:20, our National Honor Society will induct the new members for the 2014-15 School Year. This is a great honor and a reward for the hard work and dedication these students have put forth in their academic studies. A special thank you to Advisor Jason Bockey for his work in helping to make this a memorable event for both the students and parents.
Ohio Graduation Testing
Next week all Juniors and Seniors that still need to complete a section of the OGT, will be taking their Test. We will NOT be having a delay, as it will be a normal schedule. Good luck to those students.
End of the First Quarter
The First Quarter will be ending on October 27th. Shortly after student grade cards will be mailed home. If you do not receive your student’s report card by November 7th, please contact the Junior High/High School Office, so we can provide that to you.
As you know the end of the 1st Quarter is approaching quickly, and with that comes the opportunity for Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you are interested in taking an opportunity to meet your student’s instructors please refer to the attached document below, as it outlines the times and dates as to when these will be taking place and a contact number for Mrs. Clark to schedule your appointment with the teachers you wish to see.
Thank you again for all your support as a parent and educator of your child(ren). Without your help at home we would surely be unable to continue to build the foundation you have started.
Some of you may or may not be aware of this amazing way to purchase and utilize SCRIP on the go. However, I am including the website – https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ and our SCRIP Enrollment Code – 2LFE673218711, to help you take advantage of this service. By registering, you will be able to purchase SCRIP over your phone or device and utilize it almost immediately. As we all know, we have been in that situation, where we wish we had a SCRIP Card for a purchase, this service takes care of that worry. I hope it is something that you can utilize.
