This past week has been a very difficult one for our School, Parish, and St. John’s Family. It is important to remember that in these circumstances we need to encourage all to please help bring peace and healing to our Parish and School community by speaking the Truth. We do not want to engage in rumors or speculation, but only acknowledge the facts as we know them, and currently you know just as much as we know. Your cooperation will be instrumental in ensuring we continue to strengthen our parish, school, and community.
Father Dave was and still is a very good person who is in need of our prayers. A silver lining of these circumstances though can cause us to look within ourselves, at the decisions and actions that we make and how we may need to examine our own imperfections. Father Dave had some wonderful ideas for our Parish and School, and just because he is gone, that does not mean we are going to let a good idea die. We at St. John’s are going to continue on together as a strong united family working to continue making St. John’s the best school and parish in Delphos, the Diocese, and in the State. If you would like to mail a letter with your prayers to Father Dave, please use the address below and the Diocese will ensure he receives them.

We all, as brothers and sisters in Christ, need to speak about our feelings and reactions when we are facing turmoil, but we should work together to stop all untruths and rumors from being cycled through our community. We would like to thank Fr. Ron, Fr. Johnson and Seminarian Tony for all their support this week to our faculty, staff and students; we will move forward and remain a strong Parish School Family!

On Tuesday the 25th, we will be celebrating a K to 12 Mass, in preparation for giving thanks, over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will also be dismissing at 1:30, with school not resuming until December 1st.
Class Ring Blessing
On Tuesday, the 25th Father Ron will be blessing the Class Rings that the students have purchased this year, as a symbol of their commitment to St. John’s, but more importantly to their Faith.
Giving Nature of our Students
Yesterday, Today, and on Monday the 24th, our students have and will engage in a community of giving, that has brought them to collect items for the Thrift Shop, Samaritan House, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. It is amazing to see the generosity and good will that our students exhibit not only around the Holiday Season, but throughout the school year. This is simply another example of how great it is to be a Blue Jay.
