Newsletter for December 5th

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. There is no better time to enjoy the company of our family and friends, then over a delicious holiday meal. With that said it is hard to believe, but is it already December, and our students only have ten school days remaining until Christmas Break. Time is flying by this year, and though your student(s) may not realize it, the year will be over before we know it. If you have a chance, remind them to stop, take a break, and look around every once in a while, to take in everything they can.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to the Arnold C. Dienstberger Foundation and the Trustees for their generous and gracious donation to St. John’s. This organization is an amazing part of our community, which makes Delphos a great place to live.

On December 11th, at 1:00 PM, ten of our Junior High Students will be participating in the annual Spelling Bee here at St. John’s, in the Robert A Gym. Christmas Choir Concert
Take a break from all of the “hustle and bustle” of the Christmas season on Sunday, December 14, and come to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for the Delphos St. John’s Vocal Music Department’s annual Christmas Concert! The concert is at 7:00 pm and features the Junior High and High School Choirs under the direction of Mrs. Susie Slawinski along with lots of great soloists and ensembles. Join the St. John’s choirs as they sing and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ!

The High School Choir will be heading out for their annual “World Tour” of the Lima/Delphos area on Friday, December 12th. Money Stall for the Delphos Community Christmas Project
Student Council is sponsoring a Period/Money Stall to benefit the Delphos Community Christmas Project. If students bring in a dollar donation for the assigned class period each day over the next two weeks, that class period will be stalled, but more importantly we will be able to help families of Delphos that are less fortunate this Christmas Season. Grades 7 through 12 will be participating, if you can donate it would be appreciated.
