We are excited to welcome Fr. Dennis Walsh as our new Pastor here at Delphos St. John’s. Fr. Walsh comes to us from St. Patrick of Heatherdowns in Toledo. Fr. Walsh will begin his new assignment with us on Feb. 16, and be installed by the Bishop on March 1st. Let us all pray that this begins a new journey for St. John’s to move on to great things for our Parish and School.
This week concluded our Second Quarter and First Semester. It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through he school year. Though we ran into a few cancellations and delays, the students were able to complete their Mid-Term Exams on Thursday, and grade cards will be going home shortly.
Please keep in your prayers our students and staff that will be heading to Washington D.C. this Wednesday to participate in the March for Life. This is a wonderful opportunity not only for our students to see our nation’s capital, but to more importantly take a stand on the injustice of abortion. We will be praying for their safe return on Saturday the 24th.

Vespers and Holy Hour – Monday, January 26th, at 7:00 PM. Come and pray for our Delphos Community and St. John’s School as part of our Catholic Schools Week.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week is quickly approaching. The theme for this year is Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service. On Sunday January 25th, there were be an Open House that will take place in the All Saints Gym. We are hopeful prospective students and their families will attend this event. As a welcome, we would like to introduce them to our St. John’s Families. This is where we need your help! We would like each family to create some type of “poster” representing their family. It should have your family name on it. Be creative! You can use pictures, drawing, words, whatever you would like to do. We are asking for one “poster” per family. Please have your child turn it in to their religion teacher by Tuesday January 20th. If you have multiple children, have the OLDEST child give it to their religion teacher. What a wonderful way for people to meet our St. John’s Families!
Please pass along this message to any families that you know are beginning to decide the educational future of their children.
On Sunday, January 25th, from 1:00 to 3:00 in the All-Saints Building they are invited to learn about a Tradition Worth Keeping of Faith, Knowledge, and Service at Delphos St. John’s Elementary and High School Open House. We invite everyone to see what we have to offer in courses, programs, and extracurricular activities. They will have the chance to meet faculty and staff, take a tour of our campus, and enjoy learning why Delphos St. John’s is a Tradition Worth Sharing.
Do I need healing? What makes you think that I need healing? These questions are the focus of our Total School effort for January and February. Over the next two months Total School will examine some of the everyday questions in our lives, and give us the tools necessary to help begin the healing process. I encourage you to join us as we participate in this event at Mass over the next two months.
