Vespers and Holy Hour – Monday, January 26th, at 7:00 PM. Come and pray for our Delphos Community and St. John’s School as part of our Catholic Schools Week.
Please pass along this message to any families that you know are beginning to decide the educational future of their children.
On Sunday, January 25th, from 1:00 to 3:00 in the All-Saints Building they are invited to learn about a Tradition Worth Keeping of Faith, Knowledge, and Service at Delphos St. John’s Elementary and High School Open House. We invite everyone to see what we have to offer in courses, programs, and extracurricular activities. They will have the chance to meet faculty and staff, take a tour of our campus, and enjoy learning why Delphos St. John’s is a Tradition Worth Sharing.
Catholic Schools Week Mass
On Sunday January 25th, we will be kicking off Catholic Schools Week at the 11:30 AM Mass. There will be a program before Mass, involving our Pre-School students, Grades K-3, Children’s Choir (Grades 4-6), some high school instrumentalists, and the Youth Choir. The program will begin at 11:10am. Be there early to get a good seat.
We want everyone attending the 11:30 AM Mass to know which kids attend St. John’s. To do this, we are asking all students who attend that Mass to wear their school uniform. Please share this information with your students, and thank you for your help as we prepare for Catholic Schools Week.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week is quickly approaching. The theme for this year is Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service. On Sunday January 25th, there were be an Open House that will take place in the All Saints Gym. We are hopeful prospective students and their families will attend this event. As a welcome, we would like to introduce them to our St. John’s Families. This is where we need your help! We would like each family to create some type of “poster” representing their family. It should have your family name on it. Be creative! You can use pictures, drawing, words, whatever you would like to do. We are asking for one “poster” per family. Please have your child turn it in to their religion teacher by Tuesday January 20th. If you have multiple children, have the OLDEST child give it to their religion teacher. What a wonderful way for people to meet our St. John’s Families!
Do I need healing? What makes you think that I need healing? These questions are the focus of our Total School effort for January and February. Over the next two months Total School will examine some of the everyday questions in our lives, and give us the tools necessary to help begin the healing process. I encourage you to join us as we participate in this event at Mass over the next two months. Attached below are the Guidelines that we will be instituting for this year’s Prom, hosted at St. John’s High School. Please take an opportunity to look them over and help support our position of creating an atmosphere that lives up to the Catholic Values and Beliefs we try to instill in our students on a daily basis. If you have any questions regarding the Policy please let me know. These will also be going home with your son or daughter’s grade card if they are a Junior or Senior.
On January 28th the Junior Parents will be having a Post-Prom Meeting in Study Hall at 7:00. For more information please contact Mrs. Hellman at firstname.lastname@example.org
