The first week of the Fourth Quarter has come and gone, and though and behold, Northwest Ohio weather did not disappoint. Let us pray that this was the last snow we see until December. With April right around the corner, there are many exciting things ahead.
Starting Sunday, we begin the Holiest Week of the Church Year, beginning with Palm Sunday this weekend. I hope you have the opportunity to take the time to celebrate Mass with your children this weekend, leading up to the Easter Celebration,
I would like to wish good luck to all that are participating the Solo and Ensemble Contest this weekend.
Our prayers are with Mrs. Elwer, the parent chaperons, and our Mission Society Students, as they depart for their Appalachia Mission trip on Sunday. Please keep them in your prayers, for safe travels and as they help those less fortunate.

If your student is taking Freshman Office, Web Design, COBOL Programming, or Medical Terminology, they have been given a paper to register to receive transcripted college credit. In order for them to receive this credit this paper needs to be returned to the Ohio Department of Education by April 1st. Students were asked to turn in the paper today, however if you did not receive it or need an extra copy please complete the form attached below and return by Monday in order to receive this credit. At this time we are working to ensue this credit and any materials are free to your student. This is a great opportunity and I hope you are able and willing to take advantage of this, so we can continue to offer these college courses into the future.

Great Schools Rate and Review
If you have an opportunity your help would be greatly appreciated. Great Schools is a website that allows those looking into educational options in and around where they live, to examine what local schools have to offer, and read reviews from those that have either attended personally, or sent their children. With the Internet becoming such a valuable tool for people to research what the best option for education would be, I was hoping that if you had the time and the willingness, you might be able to write a small of review of St. John’s, to give perspective families a nudge in the right direction for the education of their child(ren). Thank you for all your help.
Do you know about the Lenten Practices? These questions are the focus of our Total School effort for March and April. Over the next two months, Total School will examine some of the everyday questions in our lives, and give us the tools necessary to help begin the understanding of the Lenten Practices. I encourage you to join us as we participate in this event at Mass over the next two months. For further information, please visit the following link http://www.delphosstjohnparish.org/ministries/total-school/total-school-newsletter.
Attached below are the Guidelines that we will be instituting for this year’s Prom, hosted at St. John’s High School. Please take an opportunity to look them over and help support our position of creating an atmosphere that lives up to the Catholic Values and Beliefs we try to instill in our students on a daily basis. If you have any questions regarding the Policy please let me know. These will also be going home with your son or daughter’s grade card if they are a Junior or Senior.
