Another week has passed and we are one step closer to the end of the year and graduating our 100th Class from St. John’s High School. Our Seniors put their caps and gowns on to take a picture together as a class, maybe for the last time. Watching their excitement as they fixed their caps and began to understand their accomplishment was an absolute joy. They have come so far and it is hard to believe that it is almost over. But with any ending always comes a new beginning.
This week was exciting, maybe not as exciting as last, but still some great and fun things happening through the week and into next. First a big congratulations to…

Big thank you to Vanamatic for allowing our VEX Robotics students to tour their facility on Wednesday. It was a great opportunity for them to see a state of the art facility in their own backyard, to better understand the opportunities that may be available to them right here in Delphos.
Our 7th graders had the opportunity for a retreat today, held by the Sierra Club in Lima at LCC, which focused on the vocations. Another great opportunity for the students to see how the vocations can play a role in their life.
Next week we will be taking the opportunity to Crown Mary, practice for graduation, and not saying good-bye, but see you soon to the Seniors as they will be taking finals on Thursday and Friday.
A few of the things that are happening here in the future are outlined in the newsletter below. Including, Senior Graduation Picture, Senior Picture Information for next year, Spring Choir Concert, Flower Sales, Total School, and a Shoe Drive. If any of these interest you and I hope they do, please keep reading for more information.
Please refer to http://delphosstjohns.org/hs-calendar/ for the most up-to-date information about the happenings taking place in the Junior High and High School.

Senior Graduation Group/100th Graduating Class Picture
Today your Seniors took two pictures, one as a class in the bucket seats and a second spelling out 100, in their cap and gown. These pictures are on sale in the office, until the end of the day on Monday. They are an 8×10, cost is $18.00 for both or $10.00 for your choice, if you have already paid your $10.00 and do not want both, and you can pick which one you would like. If you have already paid for one of the pictures, and would like the second, cost will be an additional $8.00.
Spring Choir Concert
The Spring Choir Concert this Sunday has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a date to be determined later. Please keep Mrs. Stiffey and her Family in your prayers.
Band Flower Sales
Please turn in your plant sale money to Ms Hare ASAP. This was due on Monday May 11th. We still have quite a few outstanding balances. If you don’t know how much you owe, please contact Sue Vonderwell at 419-236-5400 or Ms Hare at school. Thank you for supporting the Delphos St John’s Band program!
Senior Picture for the Yearbook
As you may be preparing for your senior pictures this summer, we would like to explain the new expectations for the formal pictures that will be included in the yearbook and newspaper (end of the year graduates insert). Although senior pictures are a great time to capture unique images that represent you, the yearbook needs one image meeting specific requirements for uniformity and consistency as those are paramount qualities in creating the yearbook. Please refer to the attached document below for the detailed guidelines.
Do you know about Marriage and the Church? These questions are the focus of our Total School effort for May and June. Over the next two months, Total School will examine some of the everyday questions in our lives, and give us the tools necessary to help begin the understanding of the Marriage and the Church. I encourage you to join us as we participate in this event at Mass over the next two months. Requirements: The shoes must be in pairs and must be tied or rubber band together.
If you have any old shoes that you would like to get rid of to help Aaron and his Cross Country Team at Heidelberg please bring them to the Junior High/High School Office.
Thank you for your support.
Good luck to all the St. John Students, that are competing this weekend in one way or another, bring home a win, as we are, Blue Jays.
