Today was the last official school day for our Seniors, the Class of 2015. These Seniors will be sadly missed, as we continue through the rest of next week their energy and excitement will be absent in the halls. They have brought leadership, guidance, and spirit to our school and have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They will always have a special place in my heart and in the history of St. John’s.
A special thank you to Mrs. Elwer, Mrs. Haehn, and the Mission Society Members for putting on a beautiful May Crowning celebration on Wednesday.
Just a few of the things that are happening here in the future are outlined in the newsletter below. Including, the Spring Choir Concert, the many events taking place next week, including Exams, Senior Retreat and Awards, Junior High Bowling Trip, 8th Grade Promotion, 100th Anniversary Dinner, Senior Pictures for the Yearbook, Total School, Cross Country Meeting, to name a few. If any of these interest you and I hope they do, please keep reading for more information.
There will be no cafeteria service on Wednesday the 27th. Students will need to pack their lunch for that day, or purchase a sub from the sale taking place for Bible Camp.
School will be dismissed at 1:30 on Thursday to end the school year.

Senior Picture for the Yearbook
As you may be preparing for your senior pictures this summer, we would like to explain the new expectations for the formal pictures that will be included in the yearbook and newspaper (end of the year graduates insert). Although senior pictures are a great time to capture unique images that represent you, the yearbook needs one image meeting specific requirements for uniformity and consistency as those are paramount qualities in creating the yearbook. Please refer to the attached document below for the detailed guidelines.
Do you know about Marriage and the Church? These questions are the focus of our Total School effort for May and June. Over the next two months, Total School will examine some of the everyday questions in our lives, and give us the tools necessary to help begin the understanding of the Marriage and the Church. I encourage you to join us as we participate in this event at Mass over the next two months.
