May 20th Newsletter

Dear Parent(s)/Guardians(s) and Students:

Today was the last day of school for our Seniors, the Class of 2016, the 101st Graduating Class of St. John’s.  This Senior Class has been a pleasure to work with, as they have strived to challenge themselves, personally, academically, and through their faith.  There is no doubt that each and every one of them will go on to accomplish great things.  They will be missed but they will not be forgotten.

Only 8 days remain for the Underclassmen and the Junior High.  Who’s counting?

On behalf of the Junior High/High School Students, our Service Committee consisting of Mrs. Honigford, Mr. Desenberg, Mrs. Stiffey, Mrs. Closson, Mr. Miller, and Mrs. Ledyard, and the entire faculty and staff, we would like to thank the community of Delphos and Landeck, and those individuals that requested service.  Without your support and dedication to our Parish and School, we would not be who we are today.  Through the first, and what we pray will not be the last, Service to Delphos Day, we greatly appreciate being able to give our time for everything that you have given to us.  Though the actions may be small, we look forward to continuing to serve the community for many years to come.

Below is the video clip that aired on WLIO Wednesday night at 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM, our segment airs at minute 8:18.

Thank you to Mission Society Advisors Mrs. Chrissy Elwer and Mrs. Lynette Haehn and all Mission Society members for coordinating and conducting a beautiful May Crowning Ceremony.

Thank you to Mr. Newell and Mrs. Slawinski for putting on a spectacular Band and Choir Concert this past week.  I know I repeat myself often, but we are so blessed to have the talent we do here at St. John’s.  These students are amazing and are led by some amazing people.

Below is a little information about Tuition Information, Prom, Cadet Program, Special Teams Camp, and Basketball Camp.

Important 2016-17 Tuition Information

If you have not submitted any application for a Scholarship for the 2016-17 school year, please do so as soon as possible.  The Parish/Community Member Scholarship Application is attached below.  All families who have submitted a Parish or Community Member Scholarship so far have received an Award Letter and Tuition Worksheet from the Parish Office.  Many families still need to submit their Tuition Worksheet, to select your payment plan and to accept your award.  Once you return this information you will then receive a Tuition Statement from SMART Tuition showing your Tuition Bill for the 2016-17 school year.

If you have questions about what you need to submit, please call the Parish Ministry Center, 419-695-4050, the Elementary School Office, 419-692-8561, or the Junior High/High School Office, 419-692-5371, and we will be glad to assist you.  Thank you for helping us keep the cost of Catholic Education an excellent value at St. John’s.

On behalf of the Student Council and the Chaperons, I would like to thank everyone who helped to make Prom such a success this year.  The decorations by the Junior Class were beautiful, the music provided by Ultra Sound was entertaining, and our students looked great as they entered Prom to enjoy an evening fun and fellowship with their peers.
