Dear Parent(s)/Guardians(s) and Students:
From our family to yours we hope that everyone had a blessed and wonderful Christmas and New Year. That all of you had an opportunity to spend time with family and friends and enjoy a moment away from the grind that can be our day-to-day lives.
As we start a new year, all of us here at St. John’s would like to thank all of your for your support and dedication to our Blue Jay Family. That your continued support is what has and what will allow St. John’s to be a premier faith-based educational option for generations to come.
As we begin this new year and the second half of the school year, please remember that my door is always open should you ever need anything.

Touching Safety Program
A new requirement that has been placed upon all schools within the Diocese is the Touching Safety Program, developed by Virtus (virtusonline.org). This requirement is an effort to help students in grades K to 12 develop the tools necessary to overcome the advances of someone who intends to harm them.
An overview of the lesson is attached below. With the program comes the opportunity for families to opt out if they so wish. Attached as well is a Parent Opt Out Form with more details.
Should you have any questions please let us know.
Attached below are the Guidelines that we will be instituting for this year’s Prom, hosted at St. John’s High School. These guidelines must be looked over and followed to help support our position of creating an atmosphere that lives up to the Catholic Values and Beliefs we try to instill in our students on a daily basis. If you have any questions regarding the Policy, please let me know.
Reminder – All Dresses must be submitted for approval, to gain access to Prom. Please refer to the guidelines on how to complete this process.
It can feel good to be looked at, but remember do they really see the true you. In dressing modest young women can be known for who they are and not what they wear. Humility is the sentiment and modesty is how we live our lives so that God can bless us.
The Youth Group will meet Sunday, January 15th at 2:00 PM at the breezeway. We will be going sledding (weather and snow permitting) or roller-skating. Please bring a sled if we have snow or the cost for skating is $4.00 per person and $1.50 for skate rental. Any student grades 7 – 12 are welcome to attend.
Attached below is a travel opportunity for our students that will be taking place during the 2018 Summer. This is a European travel experience that if you are interested more information is below.
There is also an opportunity to travel to Costa Rica this summer as well. If you would like details on this, please contact the High School Office.

The St John’s Athletic Booster – 300 Club has a few openings for the new year starting January 1, 2017. The yearly membership dues are $60.00. If you are interested in becoming a 300 Club member, please contact Jeff & Julie Rode at 419-230-3485 for more details.

Go Jays and God Bless,
