Dear Parent(s)/Guardians(s) and Students:
What a week to be a Blue Jay. From wrestling to basketball to student recognition from a number of organizations, to the great things that will be taking place this week, there is never a dull moment at St. John’s.
Congratulations to Coach Sterling, his Staff, and Brett Vonderwell the Division III, 170-Pound State Wrestling Runner-Up. Brett wrestled arguably the best wrestler in the state of Ohio and maybe the nation Saturday night, and represented the Blue Jay Family with pride. We are so proud of everything Brett has accomplished.
Congratulations to Coach Elwer, his Staff, and the Boys Basketball Team on their District Championship at Elida, this past Friday. In addition, good luck to them as they take on Holgate tomorrow night at 8:00 PM in Bowling Green.
Congratulations to Kelly Krites for being selected to receive a Regional R.A. Horn Outstanding Achievement Award from the State Support Team Region 6. Kelly was nominated by her teachers and administrators at St. John’s for her achievements in Music, Choir, Band, 4H, FFA, and her overall positive attitude she brings to school every day.
Congratulations to our Competition Cheer Team who qualified for the State Championship at the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators Regional Competition. Though they will not be competing at the State level, we wish them the best of luck as they travel to Lake Buena Vista, Florida this week to compete in the AmeriCheer National Competition. The girls have represented St. John’s with pride and dedication all year and will do the same, as they look to bring home a National Title. Good luck girls.
Congratulations to our Buckeye Boys State Delegate – Adam Schneer and our Buckeye Girls State Delegate – Hannah Benavidez and Annette Klausing as the alternate.

We need your help. In cooperation with the Optimists and the Kiwanis, Mrs. May’s Fourth Grade students are collecting bottle caps and other items for benches to be put at the splash pad. The benches are made from recycled plastic caps.
The fourth graders have been collecting plastic caps for two years. However, in order for this to be successful by the time summer rolls around, we need more plastic caps. Caps can be turned into the Elementary Office, Mrs. May’s Classroom, or through any fourth-grade student.
More information is attached below.
Attached below are the Guidelines that we will be instituting for this year’s Prom, hosted at St. John’s High School. These guidelines must be looked over and followed to help support our position of creating an atmosphere that lives up to the Catholic Values and Beliefs we try to instill in our students on a daily basis. If you have any questions regarding the Policy, please let me know.
Reminder – All Dresses must be submitted for approval, to gain access to Prom. Please refer to the guidelines on how to complete this process.
It can feel good to be looked at, but remember do they really see the true you. In dressing modest young women can be known for who they are and not what they wear. Humility is the sentiment and modesty is how we live our lives so that God can bless us.
The Delphos St. John’s Yearbook is available for sale! This year’s theme is jOURney! The price is currently $58.00 and will remain at $58.00 until March 2nd. Your son or daughter’s selfie won’t be around in 30 years, but their yearbook will!
